Picture of Allisa

Allisa from Rochester is working to transform Minnesota by ‘using social determinants of health’.

Allisa Song has always had a passion for medicine and health equity. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology and then went on to pursue her medical degree at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Minnesota.

During her time at Mayo, Allisa became interested in harm reduction and the impact of social determinants on health outcomes. She began volunteering at harm reduction clinics and conducting research on the effects of drug use on the brain.

In her third year of medical school, Allisa co-founded Nanodropper, a company that provides affordable eye dropper devices to help patients reduce their medication costs. The company has been recognized for its innovative approach to improving health outcomes for low-income individuals and has been featured in various publications, including Forbes and the New England Journal of Medicine.

In addition to her work with Nanodropper, Allisa has also conducted research on plastic surgery techniques and sustainable agriculture. She believes that addressing health disparities and promoting sustainability are essential for creating a more equitable and thriving society.

As a resident of Minnesota, Allisa is committed to working towards health equity and sustainable practices in the state. She plans to use her medical knowledge and experience as a co-founder of Nanodropper to bring together community leaders and organizations to address the health needs of underserved populations and to promote sustainable practices in the state.

Allisa is excited to be a part of the Minnesota community and is eager to work towards creating a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.

We share this information in order to break down silos, enable learning from others and empower collaboration across Minnesota.

A quick pause to thank our employers:

We can represent as individuals. But we also need to connect our companies, their products and budgets to transform….

How can we influence the media with our corporate budgets to make the changes necessary in our state?

Please check out my organizations website to see if it could serve yours.

Thank youNanodropper Incfor supporting United We Transform!

How can Allisa extended network contribute to enhancing local efforts?

To collaborate better, we need to connect across silos. We need to connect better within silos. Often times the best answer is just a cubicle away that you never would have thought of. Sometimes it is an ocean away.

We are now simply providing people here to help you connect and be more successful in your career, but right now… for Minnesota!
